What are you planning to tow with?

Our policy: 3/4-ton or heavier truck required to self-tow The Imagine. Half-tons, full-size SUVs, and mid-size trucks are NOT eligible for self-tow, regardless of what their manufacturer rating says. If your rig doesn't clear that bar, no problem, we deliver and set up for you.

Why 3/4-ton minimum? Half-tons can technically pull the Imagine's weight, but for a rental where the trailer has to come back in the same condition it left, we need the extra margin. 3/4-ton trucks have the frame, brakes, suspension, and cooling to handle a loaded travel trailer with real stopping distance and sway control. We also provide a Weight-Distribution Hitch (WDH) with every self-tow rental, it's not optional, it's required, and it's included.

Payload still matters. Even on a 3/4-ton, the Imagine's loaded tongue weight plus the WDH will eat about 750 lb of your truck's payload before you put a single passenger in the cab. Check your door-jamb sticker, the yellow one that says "The combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed XXXX lbs." That XXXX is what matters.

What we provide, so you don't have to

Weight-distribution hitch + ball + shank, the complete WDH assembly. Inserts into your truck's receiver tube at pickup. You bring nothing hitch-related.
Wireless trailer brake controller, Tekonsha Prodigy RF mounted on The Imagine. Your truck does NOT need its own brake controller. You drive normally; the trailer brakes work via Bluetooth-controlled handheld remote.
Furrion S+ reverse camera, installed on the trailer, displays on the included monitor (or your compatible phone). Backing up is 10× easier.

VIN (Optional, speeds up the lookup. Found on the driver-side dash or door jamb.)

Two quick checks on the back of your truck.

Because we bring the entire weight-distribution hitch assembly (including the ball + shank), all your truck needs is a receiver tube and a wiring connector. Tow-package vehicles already have both, just confirm.

Does your vehicle have a tow hitch / receiver installed? It's the square tube hanging below your rear bumper. The standard for full-size trucks and SUVs is a 2" receiver tube, that's what our WDH inserts into.

Yes, I have a tow hitch / receiver Standard on any vehicle with a factory tow package. We bring everything else.

What trailer-wiring connector does your truck have? It's the plug on the back of your truck where the trailer plugs in. Look near the receiver.

7-pin round (RV-style) Standard on every modern tow-package truck. We're all set.

4-pin flat (smaller, simpler plug) Common on SUVs and smaller setups. Won't directly support brakes, but our wireless brake controller doesn't need a brake signal from your truck. Message us first, we may add a wiring adapter to your trip.

No wrong answers. We just want to know what to cover in the walkthrough. First-timers welcome, we plan for it.
