Why Greers Ferry
Greers Ferry is one of the deepest reservoirs in Arkansas, cold enough to hold walleye and stripers year-round. The lake produces solid walleye class fish, huge white and hybrid stripers on live bait, and a healthy largemouth and Kentucky bass population in the coves.
Little Red River trout water is 20 minutes downstream if you want to bounce between species in the same trip.

Half a mile to the public boat ramp on Ramp Ln. Not five miles, not to some seasonal ramp. To the actual asphalt where you launch.

When to Fish + What to Throw
Walleye. Late fall through spring on shallow points and windblown banks. Jigs, blade baits, night crawlers on bottom rigs.
Stripers. Live shad and shiners under balloons or downlines on main-lake structure. Guides are the fastest way in if you want a shot at a wall-hanger.
Bass. Kentucky spotted bass on drop-shots and shaky heads on the bluff lines year-round. Largemouth in the creeks spring and fall.
